Melamine is particle board laminated with a thermally fused paper/resin coating to provide a durable hard surface. In the past decade , most of the cabinet is made by melamine because the surface is resistant to scratch and its low material cost. Normally the full melamine cabinet come with coloured or pattern melamine door. If its is not install handle on the door, aluminium edging will be use as handle.

Stainless steel is a very expensive material. Normally stainless steel is used for commercial kitchen because of its durability. Stainless steel for residential household usually will use different approach or grade as the selling cost cannot be too high in order to meet the acceptance of the consumer. Before buying any stainless steel kitchen for your kitchen ,bare in mind that 304 stainless steel is a better material and make sure the factory did not mix with other material like wood or melamine board. I would not recommend stainless steel material for residential because of his cold colour design and pattern.
